Our 40^th Wedding Anniversary Renewal of Vows Ceremony and Reception on Sunday, August 24, 2014 was a day of filled with spiritual celebration; 40 years of living, loving, laughing has made the journey a real joy. The ceremony started with a skit of “Our Story; narrated by Dave L. Ponder II and Crystal William.” The skit was performed by Jabari Stuckey and Erin Gore. The renewal of vows, as administered by Reverend Minnie T Robinson, was solemn and heartfelt. It was well attended by family and friends. Our children and grands did an awesome job of keeping the event lively with their singing and dance performances!

Sharon and I told the story of our relationship to our son Dave L. Ponder II; who graciously and artfully crafted it into a poem, that we called “Our Story.”

Thank you family and friends for sharing this moment in time with us! We have vowed to love each other for life, twice now. Here’s to the first 40 years:

There was plenty of good food (turkey meatballs, seafood salad, lemon pepper wings, cheese cake peti-fores and beautifully decorated cakes and cupcakes and more! Yummm, yumm, yummy!  Timeless memories!
